Heya girls and boys. The mailing list weirdness has been fixed so you can go ahead and sign up on the homepage. Other than that, I've been updating the Etsy shop on a regular basis. And we're gearing up for a couple of vacations...first up is San Francisco next week. Yay! Hope everyone is having a great Spring. I know I'm soooo ready for summer to get here. Come on already! Ta ta for now and we'll catch ya on the flipside.

Hey everyone. I don't even know if anyone checks this blog much, but I figured I'd post here to tell you that the Chuckles mailing list is NOT working right now. For some reason it just stopped working. I'm trying to get the issue resolved, but unfortunately it takes a few emails to the host (notifylist) to get a response. So I don't know how long it will take. In the meantime, if you want to sign up for shop updates, just send me an email through the contact page asking to be added.
In other news, we finally got a myspace page. Yes, long overdue. We made sure to make it cute and all! Add us as a friend here
We also opened an Etsy shop. I started it to add mainly of one-of-a-kind items, but there's a lot more on there too. Etsy is such a great community and I really love all the features and tools they offer. So check it out!

Wow. I kinda forgot about this blog. The summer is gone (we went away twice on vacation) and we're well into cold weather. The past few months have been difficult around Chuckles HQ. Been dealing with health issues along with the death of my beloved Rat Terrier. We miss you, little guy. I have been steadily filling orders and have even made new items for the site which I plan on adding in the next few days. Also, I'll be participating in the Craftland holiday show in December. It's in Rhode Island, so I won't be there but lots of cute Chuckles items will be for sale. It'll be a fun place to do holiday shopping for handmade presents. For more info check out their site . As always, thanks for your support. It means so much.

Hey hey hey! The site was updated a few times since my last entry from ages ago. We had added our pretty, affordable and fun jewelry, cupcake ipod cozies, and new crocheted hats. The Chuckles eyeglasses case is featured in the May issue of Seattle Magazine (out now) which also gave us our first Death Cab comparison. In summary, it said that the case looks like a well-intended birthday gift from your grandmother if your grandmother listened to Death Cab for Cutie. That made me laugh.
Oh yeah, there's a free shipping special until May 15th. Enjoy!
It's been raining here for oh, about 2 months straight. I'm serious. So it's been a challenge taking photos of the new items but I managed to do it. And they're here on the site ready for viewing! Just in time for Valentine's Day shopping, we've added a couple new scarves, pretty necklaces, and two new printed shirts. A couple things even have hearts on them. So go tell your sweetie to treat you to some cuteness. Now if only it would stop raining for at least a couple days, all will be better in Chucklesville.
We're on a well deserved vacation until 12/27. But you can still order stuff in the shop, it just won't be processed and shipped until after our return. Thank you all who thought of giving a Chuckles present this year. Hope everyone will love their goodies. We'll be adding lots of brand new items after the first of the year. So check back for the cuteness. Happy holidays and be safe, k?
Here's the latest happenings at Chuckles Headquarters. One of our cute scarves made its way into the holiday shopping guide in the current (Dec) issue of AP Magazine, which is super awesome. Or supes awes as they like to say these days. We've already been busy with the holiday orders, so keep 'em coming! Buying handmade gifts for people is the best because you are giving something that is truly one-of-a-kind. But if you would like to order any items that are made to order, you have to do it by Dec 4, so it will be complete and shipped to you in time for the holidays. That's just one more week!

Go and check out the cute new fleece scarves, striped tees and 3/4 length shirts and pick up a lil' something for yourself. It's been quite a long time since we've done a special, so take advantage while you can. Oh and have a spooky Halloween!

The shop is back in akshun. Take a looksie . It's been condensed so we can focus on the available items and prepare new stuff for our site revamp coming this summer. We're in the current issue of Time Out New York Kids! Design-blog guru Grace Bonney picked her all time favorite items and we're included. We're tickled pink and green. My intern had to move away for college and I need extra help so if you are reading this, live in the Seattle area and are interested in assisting me a few hours a week, please let me know. Just send me an email and tell me a bit about you.

Please check back then to purchase your new crocheted cutie. In other exciting news, we've started working on Chuckles 2.0. Yay, finally! A whole new design coming this way soon. But these things take time, so hold your horses just a little longer. My wrist is still healing, but I think it's doing much better. Thanks for the well wishes!

I have a friend helping me out with filling orders already placed, until my wrist is healed. The cozies will be back soon, I promise. I had been working on new designs and the first one to be unveiled is the frog! Currently he's only located at Pixelgirl where we just shipped off some goods. Just wanted to let you guys know that we're in the middle of moving so responding to emails and such will be slower. Everything is boxed up and ready to go to the new home. We're super excited about it, particularly the new office and workspace. So much more room for the Cuteness of Chuckles and the Castle of Elsinor. This also means keeping the site update postponed for a bit. It'll happen one of these days! Also, Seattle Magazine had a nice mention of us with a pretty picture in the latest issue. Happy holidays from Chuckles Central! Just a quick post before we start our vacation. Yayyy vacation!! We'll be gone from today until 12/26, so all emails will be answered/orders will be filled upon our return. One of our mouse iPod cozies took a trip to NYC and did a modeling session for Budget Living magazine. He's struting his schtuff in the Dec/Jan issue. Thanks to everyone who placed holiday orders, I hope your loved one (or yourself) enjoys their new goodies! See ya in the new year.
Well, well, well...we're really due for a news update, huh? Some things to make note of...we are now just using Paypal for our shopping cart which means international shipping charges need to be added separately. The instructions have been added to the Chuckles FAQ and the Paypal checkout page. Please make sure to read it and add the amount or we can't ship your order. This indie business has been operating at full steam! Which is really great but also means that we are so busy that the made to order bags are temporarily unavailable which leaves more time for completing and filling orders. The bags will return after the holidays. Remember to allow 3 weeks for completion of all made to order items. The deadline for holiday delivery has just passed (11/24), so please keep that in mind. Hope everyone had a delicious Thanksgiving and we'd like to thank you so much for your business!

There was a neat mention of CC stuff on BoingBoing this week. They're digging our robot/tech themed stuff. So are the many, many tech geeks that came to check it out. We love it! The more geeks, the better. Hot damn, that's a lot of hits, yo. Let's just hope the server doesn't crash. Kidding, unless of course Slashdot catches wind. Then it'll go down faster than a homesick mole. In other Chuckles news, this week we added some new accessories and started our Free Shipping special. It's good through 4/15 so if you've been eyeballing a Sweetasaurus magnet or bracelet or whatever, now is the time to snatch it up sans shipping costs. C'est fantastique!
More Press: Chuckles Central items are featured in the current issue (Spring '04) of the totally kick-ass Venus Magazine. Venus is such a great publication cause it focuses on women in music, art, film, and fashion. Check it out, yo! On page 102, you will find a sunshiny, spring-like photo which includes our Phonograph Bag front and center, with his pal Mr Chicken Magnet lounging languidly on top. They were well-behaved during the photo shoot and only complained twice about "that astroturf stuff" being "kinda itchy". We're proud of 'em!
